(Nashville, Tenn.) November 22nd, 2004 - Gotee recording artist Out Of Eden is currently in the studio finishing up their sixth album, simply titled Hymns, which will showcase a duet with Tree63 front man John Ellis as well as the band's bassist Daniel Ornellas and drummer Thinus Odendaal on the song "Praise To The Lord." Out of Eden Hymns is slated to release on March 29th, 2005. "The hymn is one I remember singing at school as a young boy every morning at assembly, so it was already close to my heart," said Tree63's John Ellis. " It's a real honor to be part of a hymns project that truly seeks to glorify God, and to do so with strong, committed, and passionate people like Out of Eden only makes it sweeter." The album, produced in full by group member Lisa Kimmey, includes 11 songs ranging from the traditional hymn such as "His Eye Is On The Sparrow," "My Tribute," and "Fairest Lord Jesus" with two newly penned songs by Kimmey entitled "Forgiveness" and "Vision Of Love." The popular praise and worship song "Better Is One Day" has also been recorded for the upcoming album. "Upon researching the hymns, and throughout the whole arranging process I was so moved," said Lisa Kimmey. "It struck me to the core of my being to read these incredible lyrics and realize the authors weren't trying to sell records and had no business motives or due dates, but just wanted to glorify God. They were moved to write and to compose because of the experiences they had at the feet of Jesus. We are so excited about introducing these songs to our audience, and to a new audience. Our only hope is to somehow capture the spirit and essence of these hymns and use our voice to carry that message to a new generation, but most importantly bless the Lord. It's our tribute." Out Of Eden, comprised of sisters Lisa Kimmey, Andrea Baca, and Danielle Kimmey, has five albums to their credit since debuting in 1994. With nearly one-and-a-half million albums sold, the group has merited numerous accolades such as the BMG Award for "Best Urban Album Of The Year" two years in a row, as well as two Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, with an additional 11 nominations. The siblings have toured extensively sharing the stage with icons such as Destiny's Child, The Pointer Sisters, Michael W. Smith, CeCe Winans, and Kirk Franklin, and performed at various events including both the Billy Graham and Franklin Graham Crusades, as well as Girls Of Grace teen conferences with Point of Grace. Out Of Eden has seen numerous successes on the television and movie front with songs used in UPN'S America's Next Top Model II, The WB Network's Dawson's Creek, Eddie Murphy's "Dr. Doolittle," Christina Aguilera's Diary, and The Chris Rock Show.
